The situation
A legacy on-prem regulated system, expensive to run and hard to hire for. The knowledge of how it works sits with a shrinking number of people, and the platform underneath it is heading out of support.
The constraint
It is a regulated system, so the history matters as much as the current state. A rebuild has to carry the audit trail across intact, and it cannot land as a big-bang cutover on a date somebody picked.
Where it runs
Moving to cloud infrastructure the customer owns, built to HIPAA-aligned controls, with the customer holding the tenancy, the keys, and the logs.
